Presentation: Preparing Your Hives For Winter
This talk will provide new beekeepers and beekeepers who struggle with overwintering with an encompassing view on proven overwintering set ups and techniques. It will also provide experienced beekeepers with tips and tricks to help secure even greater overwinter success. MDAR Apiary Inspector, Paul Tessier, will lead our discussions about pests, virus, queens, and feeding. He will also talk in depth about winter equipment set ups including, shims, wraps, and insulation. Paul will have some equipment with him to give hands on demonstrations.
